Goto80: Barryland

crime crime

01 Köttlars
02 Nes Mes
03 Bajsgirls Preview
04 Italo Megamix
05 Fulfräs

Two minimixes and some trashy gabber italo shoot ’em up beats. No vocals, strictly C-64 and Amiga. So, the planned release was delayed, but being true to the fast schedule of the elite data boys, I made this release 15 minutes before the new month and uploaded it here.

Always late and always in time – Goto80 strikes again! Bäst när det gäller!

04 Love Crime
05 Disk Machine (Sky Pole Remix)
06 Love Crime (Qwertypak Venom Rmx)

Ukranian-based DWD Records releases this month’s bleepy Goto80 explosion, with remixes by Sky Pole and Qwertypak. Dark, vocal, fast, slow, harsh and a bit of pop! Great cover art provided by the fast data destruction duo known as Entter (in full size it looks even better). Download the full release here. And if you can’t get enough, buy my records at the excellent Rebel Pet Set and support the Swedish chip music scene!

Goto80: Zyndabox (Candymind MP3)

01 Barking at the Wrong Dog
02 Rofon
03 Killer Piller
04 Bilerne de er Farlige (original by Je Mappelle Mads)
05 Kingston Data Traveller 2
06 Imun (8580 bugfix)
07 Killer Piller (Dubmood’s Atari-Jihad)

Get the complete release here. Released on Candymind! The night before I went on the mini tour in Holland, I rememberred I wanted to get a new mp3-release out in January. So I compiled this thing, let Dubmood have a listen and he started doing a remix right away. At the same time I met Dino King and he made the artwork right away too. So, I kind of forgot that Rofon was on Digi Dig aswell. But Double Rofon is better than no Rofon! Imun is also featured in Fairlight’s C64-demo Hello:Friend. Cover art by Jossystem.

Digi-Dig is a 10-track ogg-release free for download at Da ! Heard It Records. Plays in Winamp. Includes electro, trash, funk, pop, metal, etc. If you hurry up, you can buy your own copy with crazy fresh bonus material!

In 2009 there was a very limited re-release with additional material: 24 songs and 6 videos. More info

* “I highly recommend this album! GOTO80 is a living legend, and this release is proof that he is still topnotch.” / Twilight Electric

* “Digi-dig is just as ass-good as you could imagine, eventhough it’s not the Great American record this time either.” / Puterman

* “Little logic for much of chaos, that leaves in all the directions and especially in the nonsense… but what it is full with taste!” / Culture Netlabel (babelfish-style)

* “If you like all of the songs on a Goto80-release you’re just as disturbed as he is, and then you might aswell quit. Game over, asswanker!” / Puterman

* “It would say that the best thing than has done, you must assume that Goto80 is better than your mothers.” / Logarythm (babelfish-style)

* “I love that he do with the sound ideas, the limited timbres explaining different histories, really as an 8 bits jazz band… […] I believe that GOTO80 has a global vision very guessed right of his work. Even some have a certain degree of dramatism that I agree. And it has force.” / The Express Pot (read it!)

Goto80: Bravo (Candymind MP3)

01 Välkomstvisan
02 Semieasy (err, aka Semiasy)
03 Wombatman
04 Välkomstvisan (g80 Rework)
05 Semieasy (Hally Remix)
06 Wombatman (Liquid Stranger Duplo Mix)

6 tracks collected, sorted and vomited out by the wonderful Candymind. Download! Välkomstvisan was made for my homies in Superdöner when they came back from Costa Rica and were still known as Dr.Dürchfall and MC Leif. Wombatman was the first song I made when I came back to Sweden after living in Australia. I’m still very happy with this song, because of trash, bass, acid and groove.

Selected Freshest of the Summer by c64music.

Goto80: Contech (8bitpeoples MCD/MP3)

01 Ter4
02 Comsten
03 Pappap
04 Phh
05 Llamawarning

A 5-track mp3-release for 8bitpeoples. Ter4 was originally made with more hi-fi stuff (eh, amiga and fb01) under the name Extraboy, but I made a quick re-make of it in Protracker for GBG. Llamawarning is, just like Monkeywarning, a mega-mish-mash-up of some of my drum’n’bass songs. Only this has Amiga and vocals aswell (about Blixas polare and shopping at Willys). The last bit of the song is from the Swedish radio show Syntax Error“Låten är gjord av Anders Carlsson som döljer sig bakom krakkarnamnet Goto80” – “The song is made by Anders Carlsson, hiding behind the cracker-name Goto80”. Yeah, and I remember when I made Pappap. I composed the main melody in my head while working as a paperboy, and I remember I wanted to make it sound like a samba-jazz-arcade-FM-car-driving-song. But in the end it didn’t. Hey, maybe some day it will. The Amiga-version of Pappap is more like that anyway. (which I made prior to the C64-verison actually)

Goto80: Philemon Arthur and the Vic (MP3/SID)

01 Min Hund
02 Om Ni Tycker Jag Undviker Er
03 Jag Vill Va Ifred
04 Djurvisa För Barn

This is an mp3-release to be downloaded here, and it’s also included in my album Commodore Grooves. Philemon Arthur and the Dung is an old legendary (and super secret) Swedish band that can be described as seriously lo-fi and seriously different. I asked them if it was okay to include these songs on my album, and through their record label Silence I got thumbs up! Oh, and Vic is what some Commodore models were called – C64 was sometimes known as Vic-64 in Sweden for example.

And Lukiss’ dub-version of track 2 is really worth downloading aswell.
