Video of the Shadow Party Gig
Here’s the gig I made at Shadow Party yesterday. It’s pretty laidback with plenty of dubby dub dub.. bub bub… I do both the music and the visuals (using the Moebius ASCII editor) so it was obviously not a real-time stream, hehe.
Machines Don’t Cry
Machines don’t cry is my new pop single on Mutantswing with remixes by Whale opportunity, Decorate the sky and me (bonus internet2008 treat). BLDZR made the cover art and it’s a wink to Ekta‘s cover for Made on Internet.
And most importantly – the video! BLDZR made it and I helped with some ASCII-stuff. The good looking computer is the ABC80 (which might be where the 80 in Goto80 comes from?) and I made some of the ASCII with the ABC80-font, supplied by Shadow.
Oh, and since there is “nudity” in the video it is not liked by all platforms but let’s hope it gets to stay online.
Censored version:
Uncensored version at archive.org that doesn’t stream very well:
Interview @ Disko Kaputt
I’ll be interviewed live on Disko Kaputt, a radio show on Gothenburg’s student radio. It starts at 15:00 (CET) tomorrow, March 26. You can stream it from their website too in case you didn’t buy a super fresh radio receiver yet. It’s a pretty great show, run by Satan Ibrahimomix . Check out their Soundkludd.
EDIT: and here is the recording of the show. It’s in Swedish but who cares?
aSCII eXPRESS issue 1
Wtf, a brand new diskmag from Up Rough and Divine Stylers that covers the Amiga ASCII and BBS scenes!? That basically lists charts from asciiarena.se, total stats from all the active Amiga elite bulletin boards, and various other bits and pieces??
Of course!
I’ve been involved in the graphics and the music, working together with Dino, K-P and Spot. There’s also work from Dipswitch, Mortimer Twang, Sk!n and others. It’s clearly inspired by the Impure Express from last year, so do check that out as well.
It runs on Amiga 500 (or newer Amigas) and you can download it here. Also Pouet, Demozoo,…
V/A: Frozen Ass Collection Vol. 2
I have a cute rave-bossa song on this compilation from Suck Puck Recordz: Frozen Ass Collection Vol 2. Check it out!
GOTO22 Glitches
I looked at Goto22 on a BBS (The Yard) in a silly way (V for view file right in the BBS) and it looked like this. Big success! Click to enhance.
Review of Lo Fi Mono Festival
My music does not really got any reviews anymore. It didn’t happen a lot before either, but at least sometimes. Well, 2022 is kicking off nicely with a MUSIC REVIEW IN A BLOG. Yeah! 2022 takes the best of 2005? Maybe. Or. Yeah. Well, my music under review is actually from 2001 or even years before that if I’m being honest. See, I recently re-published my first cassette LO FI MONO FESTIVAL to Bandcamp, without even blogging about it OOOOh. Listen to this:
“This is pretty short, but I wanted to include it because when I come at an album titled Lo Fi Mono Festival, I do not expect to have a good time. This was fun from the word go, far heavier on the “festival” than the “lo fo mono”. And that part’s not even that bad, really! This includes a couple video game covers, from Super Mario Land and the original Mega Man, and they sound great like this. So yeah, short but sweet, an unexpected hit. 8.5/10”
(they also reviewed Hardcore Family, but less enthusiastic)
Goto22 – ANSCII Carnival
A while back I released a collection of text graphics called Goto20. It was really well received at ASCII Arena, and now I’ve made another one: Goto22. They both use this rather unusual style that is wedged right in between two traditionally conflicting scenes for text graphics: Amiga ASCII and PC ANSI. Basically, I’ve chosen a bastard style that nobody is supposed to like but damnit it’s winning people over, one by one. We call it ANSCII. ANSCIIIIII!! Want to join the movement? I’ve used Blocktronics’ Moebius which is available for Win, Mac and Linux.
I’ve actually joined the ASCII group diViNE stYleRs and this thing of mine was first released on their Amiga BBS, The Yard. Releasing things first on a BBS is the shit. Ok yeah whatever.

GlitchNES 2022
GlitchNES is a NES-software by NO CARRIER from 2009 that works like a real-time glitch VJ tool on the NES. A new version was just released and it includes graphics by lots of talented pixel artists, and actually me. I chose to make a pretend tracker in PETSCII to see that glitched on the NES. It seemed blasphemous enough..
Order it here ($ goes to good causes) and get more info here.
glitchNES 2022 is out! This new, cartridge-only release is a fundraiser to support racial justice and community arts initiatives in the USA. Big shout out to @drOMGp , @InfiniteNesLive, and all the guest artists for their support. https://t.co/EZY1LRLhGX pic.twitter.com/GpAps848nF
